The Palace Experience
Every September I have a weekend mommy/daughter bondcation during her school holidays. So this year she requested to go to Sun City and specifically wanted The Palace experience. My very first stay inside Sun City was with my husband at the then Sun City Hotel (now Soho) and later in the years had a family vacation with my sister and the kids at Cabannas. Ever since, I've done The Palace either solo, with my husband or with girlfriends. I must say I have grown a new and deeper appreciation for The Palace especially this time around...not sure if it's the lockdown but I got to take in all it's surroundings more...even something as simple as just sitting by the pool side. I enjoyed the activities (Quad biking and Valley of Waves) with her and hope to explore more next time. All me and my friends did was go to the Shebeen and Night clubs and I therefore missed out on the other activities Sun City has to offer. Oh yes big ups to the new Jaquar electric cars...my son would have enjoyed riding in them as he has an obsession about cars generally and for the past years busy building a flying engine in his bedroom....literally . Last but not least I would like to commend your staff for the respect and great service they always offer. I know lockdown has affected businesses generally but please recognize their efforts...even during this time of adversity when most only work on weekends only they still force to give the best service with the outmost respect. And it's them that make us want to keep coming back for The Palace Experience
Not much. Except that our booking was moved up by two weekends apparently due to renovations and were offered to be moved to Cascades but said we will wait as my daughter wanted The Palace experience and because this was my 5th time staying at The Palace and was really looking forward to seeing the 'New Look' rooms. Was disappointed when I was told that the renovations are still on and I only got to find out on the day of check-in when I requested for a pool facing room . However I plan on bringing my mom, aunt, son and niece next year when I have some money saved up as we'll now be 6 people and hopefully the renovations will be done by then. I came here before with my husband, girls, Royal Escape and alone during Pharmacy Conference and would like my other family members to have an experience of what The Palace has to offer.
